A problem can arise, though, when coffee, tea or soup leaves unappetizing deposits in your beloved mug. These often won't come off in a normal wash cycle. The mug in question can simply be soaked overnight with baking soda or salt and a little water. This dissolves the deposit, which can then easily be wiped away with a sponge.
